TEEN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT WITH BASEBALL BAT IN GRAMERCY
Police arrested a teenager for an assault opposite 325 East 22nd Street on Tuesday, April 3. Police said that the boy hit another teenager with a baseball bat, causing a personal injury. The teen was arrested on Wednesday, April 18 at noon inside the 13th Precinct.
MAN CHARGED WITH PUNCHING STORE WORKER OVER STOLEN RED BULL
Police arrested 37-year-old Ray Williams for an alleged robbery in front of the Chelsea Gourmet Deli at 259 Seventh Avenue on Monday, April 16 at 10:37 p.m. Police said that Williams went into the store and grabbed a Red Bull from the fridge, then allegedly attempted to leave without paying when an employee attempted to stop him. Police said that Williams then punched the employee in the face about 10 times and allegedly fled the scene with the Red Bull but was stopped by officers from the 10th precinct soon after.
MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING STORE EMPLOYEE WITH KNIFE
Police arrested 39-year-old Thierry Diogene for allegedly stealing from Cowboy Wholesale at 28 West 27th Street on Wednesday, April 18 at 2:58 p.m. Police said that Diogene took items from the display shelf and attempted to leave without paying. When an employee confronted him, Diogene allegedly returned the merchandise to the store but police said that he returned to the location shortly after and threatened an employee from the store. Police said they got into an argument and that Diogene allegedly pulled out a knife and said, “I will cut you.” Diogene was arrested for petit larceny and weapons possession.
MAN ACCUSED OF URINATING IN UNION SQUARE SUBWAY TUNNEL
Police arrested 28-year-old Martell Cofield for allegedly trespassing inside the Union Square subway station on Thursday, April 19 at 2:39 a.m. Police said that Cofield was in an area of the subway system that is not open to the public, on a catwalk inside the subway tunnel that is not part of the passenger platform. Police said that he was then seen urinating in public view and a small bag of alleged marijuana was recovered from his backpack. He was also charged with marijuana possession and an unclassified violation.
MAN CHARGED WITH DRUNK DRIVING ON FDR
Police arrested 27-year-old Carlos Dominguez for allegedly driving drunk at the FDR and East 23rd Street on Saturday, April 21 at 3:18 a.m. Police said that Dominguez was stopped at a vehicle safety checkpoint and allegedly had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and bloodshot, watery eyes. Police said that Dominguez had an open can of Modelo beer in the side door compartment of the car and two styrofoam cups full of an alcoholic beverage in the car’s center console.
After he was arrested, police found that Dominguez was allegedly in possession of marijuana and silver brass knuckles, which police said were in his front pocket. Police also found that his license was allegedly suspended due to a failure to answer a summons. Further investigations found that Dominguez has affiliations with gangs and allegedly has multiple tattoos that are gang-affiliated. MAN CHARGED WITH STEALING TOOLS ON WEST 23RD
Police arrested 40-year-old Kevin Jones for allegedly trespassing inside 128 West 23rd Street on Wednesday, April 18 at 6:10 a.m. Police said that Jones opened a secure entrance door and entered the commercial location, allegedly removing tools before fleeing the scene. Police said that Jones ran east on 23rd Street and fled into the southwest entrance of the 28th Street 1 station at Seventh Avenue, where he was arrested. Police said that Jones was in possession of a blue crowbar when he was searched.
WOMAN ALLEGEDLY HID OVER $1,000 IN STOLEN MAKE-UP IN BABY CARRIAGE
Police arrested 29-year-old Sharena Johnson for allegedly stealing makeup products from the Sephora at 45 East 17th Street on Friday, April 20 at 4:42 p.m. Police said that Johnson was inside the Sephora with a baby carriage and was seen placing items in the carriage while allegedly attempting to leave without paying for more than $1,000-worth of merchandise. She was charged with grand larceny and possession of stolen property
WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT AT PHIPPS HOUSES
Police arrested 36-year-old Yolanda Brown for allegedly assaulting someone that she knew inside Phipps Houses at 444 Second Avenue on Tuesday, April 10. Police said that Brown punched the victim in the lobby of the building. She was arrested for assault inside the 13th precinct on Tuesday, April 17 at 12:30 p.m.
TEEN ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING AT STRAUS HOUSES
Police arrested a teenager for trespassing inside the Straus Houses at 344 East 28th Street on Monday, April 16 at 9:18 p.m. Police said that the teen was on the 11th-floor stairwell with a lit marijuana cigarette in his hand. Police said that the teen isn’t a resident of the building, doesn’t know anyone there and wasn’t conducting any legitimate business in the building. The teen was also charged with marijuana possession. His name is being withheld due to his young age.
