Police Watch: Man wanted for Dunkin Donuts robbery, Man arrested for CVS robbery

MAN WANTED FOR DUNKIN DONUTS ROBBERY
Police are looking for a man involved in a robbery at a Chelsea Dunkin Donuts at the end of May. The suspect reportedly threatened a 20-year-old employee inside the 225 Seventh Avenue location on Monday, May 28 at 3:45 p.m. and demanded the contents of the register. Police said that he got away with approximately $500 and fled east on West 23rd Street. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 40s-50s who was last seen wearing all dark clothing. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls are strictly confidential.

MAN NABBED FOR CVS ROBBERY
Police arrested 58-year-old Joseph Green for robbery on June 9 at 3:30 p.m. inside the 13th precinct. Green was allegedly shoplifting in the CVS at 300 Park Avenue South on May 27 at 4:25 p.m. when he got into a fight with an employee while leaving the store. Police said that Green was attempting to steal deodorant.

FOOD VENDORS ACCUSED OF ASSAULT
Police arrested 49-year-old Reda Badawy and 20-year-old Karim Badawy for assault at the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 21st Street on Saturday, June 9 at 8:08 p.m. Police said that the two suspects, food vendors, intentionally pushed a food cart into her body, causing pain to her back and neck.

ARREST FOR PURSE THEFT AT BETH ISRAEL
Police arrested 54-year-old Erich Mendez for grand larceny inside Mount Sinai Beth Israel at 281 First Avenue on Monday, June 4 at 1 p.m. Police said that Mendez took a purse that had been left unattended on a chair in the lobby area. Upon further investigation, police found that Mendez was still at the location, where he was arrested, and could be seen on video footage.

MAN ARRESTED FOR MENACING ON EAST 23RD
Police arrested 32-year-old Juan Hernandez for menacing in front of 23 East 23rd Street on June 9 at 7:33 a.m. Police said that Hernandez threatened the victim with a boxcutter in front of 115 East 23rd Street. Police said that the victim then fled east on East 23rd Street towards Park Avenue South and Hernandez was stopped in front of 23 East 23rd, where the victim positively identified him and he was arrested. No further information was available about what prompted the attack but police said that Hernandez and the victim knew each other.

MAN BUSTED FOR SELLING POT IN KIPS BAY
Police arrested 34-year-old Joel Rosario for the alleged sale of marijuana in front of 68 East 27th Street on Thursday, June 7 at 3:24 p.m. Police said that Rosario sold marijuana and liquid THC to an undercover officer. When he was searched, police found that he was also in possession of additional marijuana as well as Dilaudid pills. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

MEN ARRESTED FOR COCAINE IN UNION SQUARE
Police arrested 37-year-old Vaughn Omarde and 62-year-old Raymond Knowings for possession of a controlled substance in front of 10 Union Square East on Tuesday, June 5 at 12:32 a.m. Police said that Omarde was snorting alleged cocaine from his hand and Knowings was in possession of a glassine envelope with alleged cocaine. Police said that Omarde also had a glassine envelope of marijuana and he was also charged with possession of marijuana.

MEN NABBED FOR SELLING K2 AT SIXTH AND WEST 14TH
Police arrested 35-year-old David Serrano and 37-year-old Jonathan Rodriguez for the unlawful sale of synthetic marijuana at the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 14th Street on June 7 at 4:34 p.m. Police said that Serrano and Rodriguez allegedly exchanged cash and K2 synthetic cannabinoid cigarettes. Serrano was allegedly in possession of an additional bag of K2.

SHOPLIFTER CHARGED WITH INJURING TJ MAXX EMPLOYEE
Police arrested 33-year-old Brandon Fell for petit larceny inside the 13th precinct on June 6 at 12:10 p.m. Police said that Fell entered the TJ Maxx at 620 Sixth Avenue on January 20 at 7:30 p.m. and took a black wallet without paying for the item. Fell was also later charged with robbery because he allegedly took items from the same TJ Maxx on December 9, 2017. Police said that while he was attempting to leave the store without paying for the items, he allegedly struggled with an employee, causing an injury to his left foot. Fell reportedly said, “This is my stuff now. You ain’t going to take it.”
